About

My name is Shelly McCurdy, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, currently doing business as Shelly McCurdy, LPC.

At the present, I focus predominantly on adolescents, adults, and families, helping them navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem/self-worth. Currently a member of The Net Connection, a wonderful group of mental health providers servicing Williamson County, Texas.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2008, and graduated in 2011 from St. Mary’s University – San Antonio with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I have been practicing counseling since 2010, when I was a practicum student volunteering at a couple of agencies, including Central Texas Medical Center Hospice in San Marcos, Texas. Much of my work in practicum was with children, adolescents, and groups. Since graduation, my focus has been primarily in private practice, where I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Post-graduate training has included: Circle of Security (Parent Educator), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (Parenting Training).
